What follows is therefore completely and utterly subjective. I like to think of this is my manifesto on how to live life.

In order to make this exercise more manageable, each post will approach the topic from a specific perspective. For example, one post will examine the relationship between individual consciousness and societal awareness, while another will attempt to formulate a theory of relationship between the purpose of my art and scholarship and the meaning of my life. I need to mention one more aspect of these blogs. They are not intended to be polished works. Rather, they are intended to be a kind of "freeing of the mind" that often comes with blogging. As such, I will warn you that each post will have the tendency to digress and meander and perhaps even seem meaningless. One more word of warning: these blogs are not meant to be heavily pre-determined, pre-planned pieces of prose. As a result, I will be typing directly into this blog application in hopes that the editor side of me is mitigated and the writer side of me is free to, well—write (which is the equivalent of think).

To reiterate, these blogs are an ever-evolving, protean conversation with myself. They are, in other words, a beginning and not an end—as all great art should be.
